1/ Friday RPG thread. Mute if its not your thing! (told you, new followers.) What happened in the last two DARK MARS sessions, the BLADES IN THE DARK/SAVAGE WORLDS mashup?
2/ Session 6, the group decided to grab turf, specifically an information-brokering ring (turf as subcultures/organizations, not territory). They just needed to take down the Gang leader, a drug addict with a taste for Martian art, and his deadly VR-addicted knife-thug!
3/ The Whisper used her fake grad-student ID to get genuine Martian art from a professor, The Slide planted it at a restaurant the Mark frequented, and used the Fiddle Game to convince him to take it back to HQ as an extortion payment.
4/ At the same time the Cutter and Spider ran an AR/VR fighting tournament, spiking the Bodyguard with drugs to throw her into virtual perception shock. At the same time the rigged statue spewed forth hallucinogens in an HQ full of edgy gun thugs.
5/ Like clockwork! Until the Bodyguard refused to go down, so the Cutter had to challenge her to a real fight. And the remaining gun thugs got into a shootout with the gravity-gun wielding rigger and the Whisper carrying a crowbar.
6/ Despite everything going wrong in just the right way they got their turf, the Cutter once again flirted with the Inspector chasing them, the Heat gave them their first Wanted level and they finally got a name -- based on a misunderstanding by the media.
7/ Next update: The fallout! Tense negotiations! Weird ghost shit! A decades-old murder must be solved! Corporate intrigue! xx
PS this may have been the one with the uplifted Monkeys arguing over David Hume. need to check my notes.
