The United States literally only ranks as high as it does in gender equality because women study harder in school. We're that shitty in every other category measured.
The United States--beacon of democracy--ranks 96th in women's political empowerment. Kazakhstan ranks three spots higher.

Next time someone tells you women elsewhere in the world have it much worse, so don't complain, spin the globe and pick a spot. Odds are you might improve.
