Why the “Two State Solution” is not viable today or near future.
Israeli election candidates, the EU, the Trump Plan may call for “2SS,” but currently it’s a diplomatic bluff.
Palestinian society is deeply split: Gaza vs West Bank, Hamas vs Fatah, radicals vs trad’l Muslims.

2SS? A state requires national infrastructure. Palestinian Authority dissolved Nat’l Council (Parliament) that hasn’t met in yrs.
A state requires govt monopoly over armed forces. Today, independent militias & gangs in refugee camps. Recipe for civil war & terror vs Israel

2 State Solution? A state requires enforcement of law. Corruption in Palestinian leadership is so massive from the top, the shaky govt structure is collapsing.
The Pal system runs on nepotism, bribery, illegal arrests, torture.
Pays big buck to terrorists who killed Jews. 3/

2SS? Mahmoud Abbas, an old & sick 83, is in 15th yr of 4 yr term of office.
He never named a Vice Pres or successor.

2SS? Previous peace plans – Autonomy, Oslo recognized need for gradual building of infrastructures, elections, court systems, education for peace, socialization. Arab world support.
Some Orthodox Jews believe Temple will fall from sky.
Deus ex machina won’t create Pal state. 5/

If not a magical "poof" 🧙‍♂️2 State Solution, then what?
A process that could take yrs: Normalization, autonomy, federation, confederation, temporary Arab mandate, 1 state, 2 states, 3 states...
Anyone who says "2SS" is the one & only solution is naive, a fool, or a lemming.
