.@nytimes has still not admitted or rectified its disastrously-distorted mindset in this area. In a culpable 2016 effort to make a terrible person’s coverage more positive, they lied to America and told us that the FBI found no ties between Russia and Trump.
And that’s the moral and factual hazard. When you strive to be “balanced” about a person who is dangerous and terrible, you lie. You misrepresent. You deceive.
You cause real harm in the lives of real human beings.
