I have poured every spare cent of emotional energy into being a Cllr in the last 4 years which has included literal tears and sweat (albeit not blood) on many many occasions. It was nice to be told tonight that I deserved to be re-elected and I’d done a good job....it was
depressing to hear that the same person would not vote for me, neither would his wife, nor his son. He said although he voted Remain, he fully accepted the referendum result and he is so disgusted at the arrogance of Westminster politicians who have done everything to override...
the views of 17.4 million people and how they patronise so called “ordinary” people. He felt we should have left with ‘no deal’ on 29th March and that Theresa May has failed to properly use every negotiating tool in her bag. He was calm, direct & determined he won’t vote.
Yet again I feel a wave of anger at the @Conservatives. Previously it was anger on behalf of this country and those who voted to Leave. Tonight I felt personally taken for granted by the Party and that by the actions of those at the top, my record matters not.
