.@TheIntercept -- especially @RobertMackey -- has published many articles promoting claim that Assad regime carried out Douma gas attack. So far, zero articles from Mackey & et al. on a leaked OPCW report that directly challenges that claim, which was the basis for US strikes:
We're supposed to be aggressively skeptical of official claims -- especially when they're used to justify US military action abroad, right? Isn't that a part of what "fearless and adversarial" outlets are supposed to do? (syriapropagandamedia.org/working-papers…) (thegrayzone.com/2019/05/25/opc…)
This leaked report should, at minimum, be raising new questions about what happened in Douma, and about the potential politicization of the OPCW. Those questions will not be posed so long as those most responsible for posing them -- adversarial media -- are silent.
