I take it back. Trump couldn't even read off a teleprompter well. The further the speech went into US history he's clearly ignorant of, he messed up words, names, even said bonkers "Airports." AND JUST NOW BLAMED THE TELEPROMPTER AND THE RAIN. ("Rain took the Teleprompter out")🤨
LowBar Prez didn't totally screw up or recite repugnant rally rhetoric, so got away w/a fascist infomercial for 2020—literally taking center stage w/ military on #July4. And created so much crisis—abusive border camps, racist census,NK,Iran—we triage, move on, as fascism rolls on
Read and weep THREAD. Pro-Trump MAGA fascists (Proud Boys—Nazis) came to DC on #July4th, showing support for Fascist-in-Chief & his dehumanizing demagoguery. They mocked immigrant children in cages, Obama, picked fights. AND got fist bumps from DC police.

Nobody even hides it.

The most grotesque moment in the Rose Garden, however, belonged to Barr, Trump's consiglieri Atty General who's lied to Congress & the public, obstructed/undermined the rule of law…to prop a demagogue. Barr beamed, "Congratulations, Mr President"—TWICE—& slammed "media hysteria"
Trump couldn't get his way on the census, so he put on an agitprop show & lashed out at the weak—like a true dictator—ordering raids, mass deportations. Briefly focused on criminal immigrants, he's now conflated all immigrants as criminals. An American Stalin in a Soviet America.

One thing men don't do for each other that women do for each other is, we generally don't support each other. There's not a culture of male solidarity that isn't based in rigid hierarchy and 'man card' bullshit. So, if you're a dude out there struggling? I feel that. I get it.
Some things to keep in mind -

Cruelty is the action of a coward and is rooted in fear. It's hurting other people to reassure the self that it stands atop the pyramid of awful. Real strength is kind. Real power doesn't need to shout or belittle, it can support and aid.
It is strong to control your desires - you are not helpless in their grip. You can and should always look at a situation and ask yourself who you'd hurt, and always strive to minimize that number to zero. It's not always possible, but it should be your chief concern.
