Senate Republicans blocked two election security bills and a cybersecurity measure on Wednesday in the wake of Mueller's warning that Russia's interference in our elections is ongoing.

Because Republicans can't win 2020 without help from Russia.

The hysterical, screaming Republicans – Gohmert, Jordan, Gaetz – are very well aware that questions re Steele are beyond Mueller's purview since their fellow Trump lackey Bill Barr is investigating the origins of the Russia probe but they keep harping on Steele for Trump.
.@DevinNunes, who is currently suing a cow, opens with: "Welcome everyone to the last gasp of the Russia collusion conspiracy theory" and then resorts to spewing Trump's favorite – and completely false –conspiracy theories.

Last week, following the lamentable hearing that established the apparent mental decline of Robert #Mueller, @chuckschumer tried to set a trap for @senatemajldr Mitch McConnell.
The normal practice of the Senate as to consideration of proposed legislation is for the proposed bill to be read aloud (or reading waived) and then for the bill to be sent for consideration by one or more Senate committees that have jurisdiction over the subject of the bill.
One of the bills that @thedemocrats and the #lapdancemedia have described as having been blocked by McConnell addressed certain requirements for the use and retention of paper ballots and voting records and providing funding for the #ElectionSecurityCommission to make grants.

The entire article seems to be the headline. On actual substance, I don’t see any other argument other than what happened Wednesday - he blocked [vague] election security bills. While that certainly is compelling evidence, it could have been written in one sentence.
No offense to the author - I like the headline. Seems like some documentation about his financial enmeshment with Russia is needed.

@SenSasse When he was promoting his book a few months ago, he was interviewed regularly. The book "Them: .Why We Hate Each Other & How to Heal" and Sasse was uncritically described as a sane and moral, moderating force calling up to kinder, gentler time.
Then we’re riven by the President’s hate-filled attacks on young women of color in Congress & the mob like chant by supporters of his party and he’s not the go-to guy. No one asked Sasse “is the President racist? What is his role in spreading hate? How can we find a way to heal?”

I wrote this the day #Barr put out his 4 pages. At the time I considered it a "batso crazy conspiracy theory", like for a movie script. Every day which has passed since, has validated it more and more. I don't think Mueller was in on the joke, but it's now clear #Rosenstein was.
QUESTION FOR THE #MEDIA: In what way was #Mueller hindered by the narrow mandate provided by #Rosenstein. What was defined, at the outset or during the investigation, by those above Mueller, as HANDS-OFF.
QUESTION FOR THE #MEDIA: Did #Barr and #Rosenstein shut down #Mueller? Did all the leaks about Mueller wrapping it up come from Barr, Whitaker, Rosenstein, and GOP operatives? Were they a shot across Mueller’s bow?
