The collapse of the End of History has taken 2 different forms: the fragmentation of elites as shown in the US, UK and the return to presidency for life in China and Russia as Xi and Putin become outright dictators.
These may be 2 opposite sides of the same coin. The post Cold War liberal consensus didn't last forever after all but moved into a new stage where individual freedom is pitted against autocracies wielding automated mandatory social scoring systems.
The 2 big bombs that may detonate are on the one hand deficit spending in the West and the China hustle in the East; and on the other the theft of human knowledge capital by Big Silicon worldwide. The resulting correction will be earth shaking.
