His reign was huge, stretching from present day Bengal, Bangladesh (parts of) to all of North India including erstwhile Punjab (Haryana, Himachal, J&K, Pak Punjab) Central Asia, and according to some accounts it also stretched to the borders of modern day Turkey

His name was LALITADIYA MUKTAPIDA - Karkota Kayastha Dynasty of Kashmir
There are some other accounts by Indian and western historians who speculate that it was also possible that his reign included the Deccan region in southern India, and had boundaries with the Rashtrakutas

Lalitaditya never lost a battle in his lifetime. Though his capital was Srinagar, he also built another capital in Parihaspura. This was a magnificent, modern city in its time - but today it lies in ruins.

This 8th Century ruler had efficient administration.Developed various infrastructure projects also ensuring that villages and far flung areas were not deprive of basic amenities like food, water (he also built water reservoirs and wells).Women were well educated under his reign

Scintillating piece of architecture, could have awed everyone who saw it.

Very Truth saying : history is so distorted that Indians and even Pakistanis have absolutely no idea about the history of this region

Sadly, less than 1% of present day generations know of him and his empire.
