The #PoorPeoplesCampaign doesn’t want a welfare state. We want a state that establishes justice & promotes the general welfare. There are 140 mil poor & low wealth people in this nation.
Working to change these numbers is not socialism. It’s justice, constitutional consistency & a moral mandate. To dismiss programs like Social Security, Medicaid, living wages, & health care as socialism is mean and immoral hypocrisy.
