It's 2019, folks. We've seen this movie before. But just to help clarify for all you who keep putting your lost teeth under your pillows at night: Trump will not only not pay any price for his Ukraine crimes, by the time this is done, 40% of us will believe the Bidens did wrong.
This is because a.) Trump will spin it that way and repeat it over and over, b.) the right wing media machine will repeat, c.) the GOP will back him up (as they are), d.) the Dems will channel their outrage into more outrage and no meaningful form of accountability.
The fact that Trump has committed many prior crimes will not result in this compounding people's negative view of him but rather will have his supporters who have seen him go unscathed believing this is just part of a loud but toothless conspiracy against him.
