Harry, Meghan & baby Archie are due to touch down in Cape Town to begin their Southern Africa tour in a couple of hours! There’s no official welcome at the airport, so we’ll see them first at a township around 1.30pm local time. 🇿🇦#sussexroyaltour

Meghan’s dress is £69 from an ethical and sustainable fashion label from Malawi. She chose the Dalitso maxi wrap dress in back and white DNA made from traditional African cloth.

Jessica Dewhurst (on l of 1st pic) from the Justice Desk announced Archie had been given a special Xhosa name of Ntsika, meaning pillar of strength. “The local grandmothers gave Archie the name: Harry & Meghan loved the name. In SA we say they are welcomed home.” #RoyalTourAfrica

Harry & Meghan are visiting the District Six museum which contains exhibits telling the story of the 60,000 Cape Malay communities who were forcibly relocated from here during Apartheid in the ‘70s. Upstairs they’ll meet former residents, a jazz musician & artisans.
After their visit, Harry & Meghan did a quick walkabout down the street to the homecoming centre in District Six, where they’ll be joining former residents in a community cooking class. Meghan will give them a copy of her ‘Together’ cookbook and they’ll give her a cookbook.

A special #Meghan hug for Somaya Ebrahim, 81, who was here for the Queen’s visit in 1947 and asks “Where’s Archie?” She was told “he’s sleeping”. Harry also told another resident that the fight had taken its toll on Archie. “He’s not grouchy, just exhausted” he confided 😴
