Odey was born into a wealthy family of industrialists, and was educated at Harrow & Oxford. He set up Odey Asset Management in 1991, and it now has several billion pounds under management. He was briefly married to Rupert Murdoch’s daughter. His net worth is c£775m. #StopBrexit

Gina Miller was born in what was then British Guiana, and arrived in Britain at the age of ten to attend school. Economic crisis back home forced her to start working at 14 in order to support herself. She now runs SCM Direct, an ethical investment manager. @SCMDirect 🤓 🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺

This seems to be the real origin of Johnson’s insane “do or die” pledge re October 31st – his paymasters demand it. The date is important only for their investments, and for escaping the EU tax rules. It has NO other significance. Odey wants it, so Johnson must deliver. 😠 🇪🇺

On the other hand, Gina Miller reacted to the Brexit insanity by dedicating herself to defending democracy. She has poured her time and money into the fight, enduring atrocious racist abuse and even death threats. 😠✊ #StopTheCoup #StopBrexit 🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺

Through launching legal action, she forced the Government to involve Parliament in the Brexit decision process. This was a landmark step that has helped profoundly to avoid many catastrophic mistakes. 🤓 #RuleOfLaw 🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺

Gina Miller could, like Odey or the odious Rees-Mogg, have simply exploited the market chaos of Brexit to invest cleverly and make more money. #StopBrexit 🇪🇺
