@ninaturner Gender is an accident of birth not deserving of loyalty. It doesn't overcome a record & policies. Sanders, who happens to be male, was fighting for my #ReproductiveRights in 1972, before Roe v Wade, at a time Warren was supporting & voting for the GOP.
@ninaturner Sanders, who happens to have been born male, led in fighting #domesticviolence against women. He even got the NFL to help. But, it's sexist to support him? 🤔⁉️#BernieYellsForUs and always has.

@ninaturner Breast cancer is one of a woman's greatest fears. Even though he happened to be born male, Sanders 1st legislative 'win' came out of his concern for us & he knew that scientists needed more information to find causes & cures. In 1992.

@ninaturner 1998: VT NOW's President on why they endorsed Sanders: "100% record of voting on women's issues, including access to abortion, pay equity, & affirmative action. He's a congressman we don't even have to call, we know he's going to vote the right way."

@ninaturner Always worried SCOTUS could overturn Roe V Wade, and/or states limit it, Sanders has pushed for legislation to make reproductive rights safe from court action. Even though he was born male, he advocated for the Freedom of Choice act for us women in 1992.

@ninaturner Here's Sanders, who by happenstance is not a woman, fighting to get contraceptives covered by ins. plans, back in 1998. Why? Because "limiting contraceptive coverage shows a bias against women" & our healthcare out of pocket costs were 68% more.
