the rest of the article is rubbish. Deflation is being caused by china flooding money and devaluing their currency not by people saving. The fact of the matter is that most of the "new gadgets" aren't worth the money. There is no demand for stupid crap.
Build me a car/phone that doesn't track everything I do and everywhere I go and I'll be out buying it tomorrow. Build me a washing machine that cleans clothes and I'll buy it tomorrow. Produce food with real flavor instead of chemical induced flavor and I'll fill my cabinets.
Manufacture things that don't bring within the first 3 months that do what the ads say they will do and I'll happily be a customer for life. Produce cheap crappy shit and i'll just save the money. It's not rocket science.
