in the 19th and early 20th Centuries, Russia and G-Britain were competing for influence over the Ottoman Empire.After the latter's defeat in1918, the best solution was to allow the establishment of the Turkish Republic and not to be subordinated to either Russia or Britain.

The two countries simply and brutally resolved this problem, and the cost was a complete abandonment of minorities. What is happening these days between #Russia and #NATO regarding the "backward" rivalry to win Turkey threatens the rest of the peoples of the historic Mesopotamia.

The world is watching what is going on in NE Syria. Turkey invades not to achieve political goals, but to complete the destruction of the culture of Mesopotamia. This is not a lecture in history, but since 1923, this country had been founded on panic from two things:

1. Diversity: What it did not achieve by genocide it did by reducing diversity through population exchanges in 1922-1923. Can we imagine that a country founded on the genocide of 1.5 million Armenians and the displacement of one million Roman Orthodox, what would it do out/border

2: Treaty of Sevres (1920): #Turkey believes that in order to prevent the return of this treaty, it must dismantle the Kurdish communities and not just control them. Therefore, Erdogan will not only occupy NE Syria, but, as it did in #Afrin, also wants to migrate the #Kurds.

Thus, the #Kurds and #Christians found themselves in one trench, inevitably, not only in NE-Syria, but also in the #KRG and wherever Christians and Kurds contiguous, despite the painful periods in history between them.

For these reasons, the #Turkish invasion is not a political issue. It is about the existence of the peoples of this region. #Turkey is inciting social components against each other, and civil war is the inevitable consequence of any Turkish domination.

This is what happened minimally in every region controlled by Turkey (and ISIS) in #Syria (#Afrin - Idleb - Albab - Jarablus) so that only one component remains: The Sunni Arabs.
