1/ despite all the handwringing in US about "slaughter" of the Kurds, incursion by Turkish-backed (and US-armed) FSA jihadis is fairly limited so far and appears to have been stopped. ~zero advance by jihadis at Manbij, Kobani on west or Qamishli on east. 
2/ incursions appear limited to two border crossings: TelAbyad and Ras al-Ain, both shown on fresh map at syriacivilwarmap.com. Syrian army has mobilized quickly at bases limiting further advance (Ain Issa and Tel Tamer respectively).
3/ I wonder how well the jihadis will fare in these locations when the counterattack comes, as it will. Turkey does not appear to have exposed its own military. Maybe Erdogan doesnt really care what happens to these "thugs, bandits and pirates" despite what he says publicly.
