Hong Kong China Mega Thread:

This is a really well put together video. It covers so many of the things that I've tweeted, but with a wider context and far more well organized. I'll add some additional depth on some of Dan's main talking points.

#HongKong
This is a thread that explores the irony of the Occupy Wall Street scenario. Open the sub-tweet to get the rest of the thread.

Regarding what Joshua Wong went to US Congress to testify for, it was to support the Human Rights and Democracy Act, which does the opposite of what HK wants (more autonomy)

The premise of this act relies on the idea that China needs HK for foreign investment. It doesn't. Joshua's peddling of this idea has already cost HK as China has now removed restrictions in Shenzhen designed to give HK exclusivity & more relevance

Think about what these protesters are really cheering for as well, it's incomprehensible.

More context, showing the question Joshua was asked when he refused to condemn violence against mainlanders.

Speaking of xenophobia towards mainlanders, it's a widespread problem starting well before the protests. Now with these protests, it's like its become a free pass to act out on this sentiment. Here is a collection of videos of just a few examples.

Consider also that using racial, ethnic or other divides as a tool to disrupt, is not only speculated method CIA methodology. It's part of their playbook. Jimmy Lai indeed is an important tool in that regard.

News outlets run by foreigners in HK an important tool for as well. The fact that HK has far more freedom of press now than they did under the British is the very vulnerability being ironically used to convince everyone they don't have freedom.

But violence isn't only towards mainlanders, it's towards local Hong Kong people who speak up against protests as well. It's intolerance of the "tolerant" on display. A number of examples shown here.
Heck, look what happens when even a foreign vlogger comes to Hong Kong hoping to catch police violence but is shocked to discover a different story.

There was another journalist who caught the truth recently. To be frank, he was far more protected than Toby because he was white. There are many examples that show if you're white, you get a major pass on a lot that others would not.

Onto police violence, imagine for a moment if protesters tried even a fraction of some of the stuff shown in this thread. And we have senators from places like Missouri of all places (see Ferguson) coming HK and having the nerve to call it a police state

Consider also that they've been continually using these lasers throughout the entire movement. This would not have been tolerated this much anywhere else. And it shouldn't be tolerated even here.

Onto mainland mothers giving birth topic. Ironically this further proves HK's autonomy as well. HK was told by Beijing not to give mainland kids residency based on it's own interpretation of the law. Macau obeyed, but Hong Kong didn't agree and didn't follow along.
Important to note, mainland mothers would still have a very difficult time getting getting residency just based on their child being born in HK, unless the father has an HKID card. Most of the mainland immigration happens under the family reunion category.
They created their own problem on mainland births in HK, are also responsible for most of the immigration happening now (locals marrying mainlanders), but they just blame China for it all (as usual). As of 2013, mainland mothers without HKIDs are banned from birthing in HK
The truth is, Hong Kong is just half of a game designed to attack China from the east and the west (ignoring CIA interference in the Mongolia for now). The funding isn't suspected, it's confirmed.

The brilliance of the CIA interference machine is that their work isn't only for foreign lands. The manipulation happens at home as well where a mass which-hunt is going on to make sure everyone has the correct opinion.

After what I've written, it should be clear that what LeBron said was reasonable regarding speaking on something you're not informed enough about. Yet here we are with a modernized version of Mccarthyism where Americans REQUIRED to support CIA operations

Hong Kong protesters also spoke up loudly when the NBA ran into problems with China, which is pretty ironic coming from them.

There are of course people who know exactly what they're doing by twisting the HK narrative. Maybe some believe it's actually to free people on the mainland side? Consider what they've been able to accomplish for their people I
in such a short time.

These kinds of projects would have been impossible in China had they opened themselves to the same risks in Hong Kong, where political fighting and divisions among the population have been coerced.

Americans willingly complacent to their own propaganda because they think China's growing power is only a recipie for bad, should consider their own past/typical non-optional cooperation packages for developing nations that mostly consists of taking.

China has created hundreds of thousands of jobs, invested over $290 billion USD over the past decade and built road, rail and power generation projects across the Africa. It's no wonder many of them prefer China.

If you want to find out more about Beijing's limited ability to help Hong Kong with it's real and actual underlying issues left by the British, and what they do for Hong Kong people in the absence of that ability, due to their autonomy, you can read this:

BONUS: Extra videos of Joshua. A closer look at the logic used by one of Hong Kong's biggest protest poster boys.

BONUS: Denise Ho (@hoccgoomusic) is another great example of dishonest attempts to mislead the youth of Hong Kong. She grew up in Canada, has a Canadian passport, but was one of the people at congress supporting sanctions on "her" people in Hong Kong.

BONUS: Wanna know exactly how manipulated you are on the China narrative first hand? Check out this thread and look what happens when someone finally finds the "source" for China intelligence data.

Although dead, the Extradition Bill was what protests began on. Within this summary thread is a sub-thread that goes into more depth, including the BBC's deception.

The bill had incorporated all feedback and concerns in a revision before protests began.
