Even going so far as to try and attack a Mi'kmaw signatory that quite a few #EasternMetis have as a lineage in their heritage. He is my 7th g uncle, Seven generations matter in Mi'kmaw culture, but apparently not when they are actively trying to exclude a people.

The Mi'kmaw Resource Guide - UNSI - NCNS . @DarryLeroux says that Mi'kmaw had to have a group that included Metis in their name for funding reasons. I have never heard of a group that gets funding for something from the government for something that does not exist .. Ever ..
wouldn't that be fraud getting funding for something that is not there?? Darryl forgets to add that group was established by the Native Council of Canada who was the voice for the non-Status and the Metis people in NS. Micmacs form new native group - MicmacNews-1990-09.
