The Trump clan lives for conflict. It’s a form of bloodsport for them. The use of the word “Triggered” is the escalating, intensified evolution from previously needing to just “own the Libs”. These behaviors signify a level of dysfunctional competitiveness that….1/
….incoincidentally is tied to an emphasis of a dysfunctionally interpretation of “winning” (as analyzed here): 2/
Competition/Competitiveness can bring out the best in people. But often in life, too much of a good thing eventually ceases being a good thing. When motivated by pathology, competitiveness is no exception. Competition is often fueled by a sense of inadequacy/insecurity. 4/
Some of the greatest, most successful/“winning”-est athletes possessed an obsessive, almost maniacal work ethic that was counterintuitively fueled by a fear of failure that even an elite level of talent and a history of winning championships couldn’t curb (Michael Jordan). 5/
When a pathological level of inadequacy/insecurity simultaneously exists along side sociopathy and unchecked power, a pathologically dysfunctional level of competitiveness results in “a good thing (6 NBA titles) ceasing to be a good thing”: sadistic inhumanity. 6/
Bringing this back to the Trump clan, their sociopathy creates an unlevel playing field in the conflict-ridden bloodsport that they love and thrive on. 7/
Similar to the sociopath’s competitive advantage in the pursuit of material success: 8/
…..the sociopath possesses a similar competitive advantage when sadistically engaging in the conflict-ridden blood sport of emotional/psychological traumatization,…10/
….where their lack of conscience/empathy/humanity is their greatest gift/weapon because it allows them to go where others can’t/won’t go…….and “winning” (traumatizing others) provides them with their greatest sense of meaning/purpose/adequacy/identity…11/
…..except that instead of hanging the taxidermied head of a soon-to-be-extinct exotic African animal on their walls, they’re defining their success by how many people they can emotionally and psychologically defeat/trigger/destroy. 12/
