Observations below:
1. Lack of proper/visible signages - road signages. Length, frequency needs to be improved.
- "Kannada signages missing"
2. Good to see many stops and junctions with BMTC & BTP staff regulating in respective places.

3. Saved approx 15 mins compared to previous recce(refer image), but need more data points to attribute it to #BPL though.
4. Good to see most buses were overcrowded - so 'will people take bus?' debate should end and start 'how to make bus more effective and efficient'.

5. Lack of enforcement between bus stops - more staffs or a patrol/sarathi service making way will help.
6. Parked vehicles on the bus lanes was seen, must be checked n moved away. Deploying police woth towing vehicle at regular stretches.

***Important*** - Agree about issues but its important to note that it's a pilot and experimenting without a physical barricade which is a ideal #BusPriority method(remember they got rid of bollards responding to safety concern from citizens and experts). So stay positive 🙂

Found the red patch but empty!
Give him a medal :) This staff managed to pull our bus on flyover otherwise it would've gone down. We need more people between bus stops like this where drivers deviate rules.
Bus took service road at V Narayanpura(I guess).
Reached Tin factory in ~50 mins. #BusPriorityLane should bring this to 25 mins :|

1/ Such audio system at bus stops and crucial junction helps!
2/ Some stretches had staffs between the bus stops in comparison to yesterday where they were only at stops.
3/ More enforcement were happening today forcing even the driver to take flyover. He was looking to sneak in to get under the flyover.
4/ Vehicle parkings is such a menace - these guys need to be aggressively penalized.
5/ More enforcement and big signages required on flyovers with such congestion points. Bus moving fast here makes a difference!
6/ More police personnel penalizing violators today.
7/ Big turn off today - 10 mins waiting time for direct bus and bus waited 12 mins to start the ride - approx 25mins wasted in 25 mins. The ride time was slightly better - took 50mins BYP to Ecospace.

One thing I've loved is the seemless transition. See how easily I boarded the bus - as though bus(conductor) is waiting for me :)

Have a interesting story during #BusPriorityLane #Recce today about "Subbalakshmi", stay tuned ;)
So the story is about catching 'subbalakshmi' travel bus which had occupied bus lane. It didn't obliged to stop when staff stopped it at Mahadevapura. Finally was caught and made to take UTURN!
It was caught here, but the interesting part is there was exciting chase from a 'Hero' (maybe bmtc staff or police)
He got into to our bus to chase the violator!
Then switched to bike!
This is where he had first started his chase and we were wondering what he's doing?! He was actually looking for a drop.

Here's another violator who was caught and fined but not as villainous like 'subbalakshmi'.
So good to see aggressive enforcement happening today but I feel they need to be better equipped and big signboards need to be deployed soon!

Must say that after traveling in same bus for two days - there was improvement in compliance from this driver, Benappa from Bijapur and thanks to conductor Basavaraj from Talikote for giving up his seat for me when I requested(for capturing photos).

1/ Ordinary bus is 3 times lesser than Volvo :)

2/ 4 mins faster today, and mind you this is in "ORDINARY BUS".
3/ 0 waiting time as I boarded the bus ready to go and hardly stopped few secs I'm all bus stops.
@BMTC_Bangalore reduce the waiting time - stop incentivising for ridership and start incentivising for compliance!

Came 30mins early, direct bus wasn't there so boarded MF to reach Tin Factory to catch 500D.
I was ready with ₹5, Guess what? BYP to Tin factory is ₹10 and ₹20 again from tin Factory whereas I paid ₹20 till Ecospace yest :( StageBasedPricing?!

No enforcement at Nakkundi, bus didn't go on flyover which is marked for #BPL
This bus has on-board announcement - which should be there for every bus so alongwith stop names it can play awareness audio. Atleast 100 travel in one stretch and in one ride. Big enough audience?!

Both lane occupied by buses waiting at Ecospace stop for 10-15 mins. This is sheer misuse of space. @BMTC_Bangalore should take strict action.

Took 52 mins thanks to 25m cumulative waiting time at stops for passenger. Reason why I save 10-15 m on 'onward journey' because every stop is manned and bus don't wait beyond 15-20 secs. Return journey is poorly prepared. Long way to go.
