You really should read/watch coverage of the impeachment from across the news landscape today and encourage others to do so. Like really read a bunch of articles and watch full shows from the sites and networks you think are ridiculous. (Handy chart for finding the ridiculous) 
Reading/watching the lowest reliability, most highly-biased stuff will help you understand why people dig in on their positions even in the face of so much evidence against them. A lot of people are NOT watching the hearings. They are getting their info filtered for them.
I think one of the best ways to inoculate yourself against being persuaded by bullshit is to regularly read all the bullshit that is out there so you can get good at recognizing it. Please, please take some time to look at articles across the news landscape. It’s so eye-opening.
