I think this calls for an investigation into why Iowa Democrats suddenly turned all racist in the last few years
I have been a vocal advocate of getting getting rid of the Iowa-first election cycle, mostly because it's an utter annoyance to Iowans. That said, while Iowa may not "look like America," there is literally no single state that "looks like America."
I suppose Ohio is as close to a scale model of the US as you get, but still lacks anything equivalent to fast growth regions of the Sun Belt and Mountain states.
I suppose the DNC could scrap all these expensive contests in irrelevant small population states, and have one big popular vote national primary. Not sure they'd like the ultimate result though.
