6 - His realistic and ACHIEVABLE plan to tackle the climate crisis...

7 - This extremely important plan for addressing dignity in aging, which I feel we as a county do not talk about nearly enough.

8 - Becoming Whole - because the Equality Act CANNOT wait...

9 - Pete’s Education is reasonable. I truly appreciate his approach I’m not providing free college to those who have a lot of wealth. We need to prioritize where federal dollars go.

10 - Pete’s Disability Plan. Fun story about this one. I met the mother of someone Pete wrote about in his op-Ed when he released this plan. She explained her time talking to Pete and Chasten and how their story was reflected in his plan. 💙💛💙

11 - Pete’s view that those with a felony record should have restored voting rights. 12 - Pete’s Naval service from 2009-2017 including serving in Afghanistan for seven months.
13 - Pete’s extensive linguistic skills, which I believe would service him quite well as an international leader. 14 - Pete’s strong understanding of the geo-political consequences of US military action as well as the very real impract on our troops and their families.
15 - Pete’s extensive education and inquisitive mind. 16 - Pete’s strong moral compass, rooted in faith and compassion. 17 - Though Pete is strong and faith he will work to represent all religions and no religion equally.
18 - Pete’s commitment to appoint at least half female Cabinet members. I believe this because if you look at his campaign staff - well, it’s just plain obvious Pete is accustomed to having smart women by his side helping him make decisions.
19 - Pete’s time as Mayor. Executive level experience in a Municipality will hold you accountable to your decisions and I believe Pete had the opportunity to both exce and celebrate the City’s accomplishments, but also learn and be humbled by his experience.
20 - Pete’s exceedingly humble and mind nature when you meet him in person. Pete’s attentiveness, empathy and willingness to listen and learn. Anyone who sees him in person actually understands his genuine nature.
21 - His calm and collected manner when dealing with adversity. I’ve seen some situations in which I’d absolutely lose my cool, and he remains empathetic, understanding and again, ready to listen.
22 - The strength in Pete’s campaign in organizing. It’s truly a remarkable thing to witness the true talent and ideas and work of his campaign. Simply amazing. 23 - The fact that Pete supported his campaign staffers to organize and negotiate, thus becoming more empowered.
24 - His support of abolishing the Electoral College. It’s time for it to go, as it does not consistently reflect the true will of voters. 25 - His approach to SCOTUS reform and the end goal of having Judicial Appointments not cause such hysteria each time a seat is vacated.
23 - @Chas10Buttigieg - Who is not only a wonderful, inspiring human, but values public education and supports arts education, which helps children feel a sense of belonging. 25 - @firstdogsSB They’re adorable, so I was obviously going to include them. Check them out and smile
26 - His camp’s ROTR which ask his supporters, his campaign staff and him to treat our fellow Americans with respect. 27 - I feel Pete sharply juxtaposes DT and could prove a formidable opponent. 28 - Pete’s youth and energy. 29 - His relationship with mom. She raised him well!
30 - His extreme work ethic, proven in all he’s accomplished in ALMOST 38 years. 🤯 31 - He gives me hope. 32 - I’ve found belonging in his campaign 33 - The way my children responded with genuine excitement &comfort when they met him. 34 - The reason he ran for State Treasurer
35 - His few failures in life ultimately make him a stronger person, who has learned more, in my opinion. 36 - His pragmatic approach that will bring all along for change without leaving anyone behind. 37 - His way of seeing the bigger picture, rather than proposing small fixes.
38 - He’s just a good guy. He’s been vetted to the extreme, revealing he’s not perfect, he’s human. But he’s a leader, he will bring about positive change and I can’t wait to work my bum off to see him become the Dem nominee and our President Elect in 2020! Happy Birthday Pete!
