We're witnessing a clash between competing visions for the world. One vision belongs to many billionaires, big business.
It tells us our world's on track; we just need tweaks

Its the idea that we can somehow trust those who got rich on the back of billions of people, subvert democracy & burn our planet with deciding our future.

Speaks volumes.
He delivered a sales pitch for American oil & gas instead of facing up to the #climateemergency.

It's that of @GretaThunberg + more. Of our civil society. Of @antonioguterres. Of activists @NjokiNjehu
It's a radically different vision. About system change. About a human economy that dignifies people & planet.

No. Radical change is needed. The economy is crushing ordinary folks. Exploiting women + girls. We've 8 years to avert climate catastrophe.
Let's be real. The billionaire boom that's causing so much harm must now come to an end

I wrote this news.trust.org/item/202001231…
Are the big bullies of the rigged system suddenly going to try & politely stop? We should not be fooled

I was heartened to see some governments like New Zealand, like Denmark, making moves to #fightinequality
They're in the minority. We need many more like them

This week in over 30 countries people hit the streets saying enough to obscene inequality (see @FightInequality)
I was inspired seeing a few millionaires+billionaires like @abigaildisney saying we the richest need to be taxed way more!

There's no getting away from the fact that billionaires are going to need to lose something for most of humanity to gain.
For our planet to prosper.
For true democracy to flourish.
9/10
We shall fight for a sustainable and just future. For people and planet. For equality. For dignity for all.
Believe it, we will win. Let's march on.
