This thread. Read the whole thing. I gearing up to post a thread almost exactly like this this morning. Feels like a regime change in the past 24hrs. Things are even different since I went to bed last night. I think he's spot on in every respect.
Containment is done. All that's left is delay, preparation, & mitigation. This has to happen at the level of the individual household, & at local & state levels. We still don't know critical parameters -- CFR isn't nailed down. But we can nonetheless start slowly preparing.
I personally think we have ~2 weeks until it's really clear to those of us following closely (& shortly thereafter the public) what we're dealing with in terms of scope/scale/disruption. So my advice is to take the next 2wks to quietly get ready to spend a lot of time indoors.
As you grocery shop, pick up extras. Keep a full tank of gas. Pick up an extra box of masks or gloves as you see them (but leave some for others). RIGHT NOW start training yourself & your family to wash hands obsessively, & keep hands away from the face.
