1. Let's do a quick demonstration of why the ignorance of conservative like @POTUS @seanhannity and @Zigmanfreud that somehow prevents them from learning the actual name of the virus currently sweeping the world is both stupid and destructive....

2...Remember the American virus? Fortunately, it didn't kill many people.

...but then the AMERICAN virus - it killed millions. Fortunately, we have a vaccine.

But the American virus - no vaccine. That's sad.

Same with the American parasite AND the American parasite.

3...but at least it wasn't as bad as the British Virus - that killed 14 percent of a major American city. But the British virus wasn't so bad, since few died.

This "Chinese Virus" talking point not only demonstrates that conservatives are too stupid to learn the real name..

4...but they are willing to cause even more damage to this country on top of the damage caused by their other ignorance and incompetence.

The Chinese know the most about this new virus. They have the best data & are giving access to scientists worldwide so they can research...

5.. even better, the Chinese are using their better knowledge about the virus and how to fight it to aid every country that is facing an outbreak.

...well, every country but the United States. Since this "Chinese Virus" garbage started, their response has been "F*** you, USA"...

6...they are starting to give limited access to American scientists, so now we have to get more of our information from European countries that are getting it from work in China. Cause remember - China has contained the virus. European countries and America haven't, so....

7...we have a lot to learn from China, but can't. Because conservatives are sooooo obsessed with sticking with their ignorance, with their refusal to learn the actual name of the virus, all so they can preen on Fox News and to idiots growling "those damn Chinese!...

8...& dont expect a change in our behavior will help. China isn't just refusing to help us because of conservative ignorance, but they are turning it around to make sure their whole country sides with the decision.

So, in China, you'll learn about the American virus. Yup, they..

9...are telling their population that the virus not only came from America, but we KNOWINGLY attacked the Chinese with it.

Ah, so it goes with the conservative ignorance. So, to help them understand the quite simple names, let's give a short lesson....

10...first, calling the spread bu the virus name (which is not Chinese Virus) instead of the name of the disease is simply stupid. As examples:

Who says rubeola virus instead of measles?
Who says rubulavirus instead of mumps
Who says varicella-zoster virus instead of herpes?
...

11...so, my conservative friends incapable of reading a book, whats the name of the current disease?

COVID-19.

And no, thats not the virus name. COVID-19 is the equivalent name to measles, mumps.

But if you want to know the virus name, folks have to unlearn some things...

12...first, most obviously, it is not COVID-19. That is the name of the disease.

Second, it is not coronavirus or the coronavirus. That is the name for a particular group of related viruses. The common cold is often caused by a coronavirus.

So, what is the real name?....

13...the real name is SARS-CoV-2. It is also correct to call it severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (yes, it's the second one). Or, if all of that is too complicated, you can call it novel coronavirus 2019....

14...but why don't we stop all this nonsense so you can continue spreading disinformation to gin up the Fox News viewers by labeling it as the equivalent of the new Yellow Peril.

Call it the disease, just like measles and mumps. It's COVID-19.
