1. ICC Profiles in Photoshop

Hey - my other thread talks about how this is all turning out to be, in my opinion, a cynical political stunt on the part of Senator Franken's accuser and her cohorts.
2. In it, I'm explaining how the metadata for .jpg files contains all sorts of things -- (BTW, you're going to want to delete your FB and other photos if you didn't remove the GPS entries in EXIF and took a pic in your own house.)

Well the ICC Profile is pretty interesting too!
3. No it's not. It's dull as shit. All of this malarky is dull as shit. But someone's got to do this because I don't see anything on the news about 'Holy shit! This looks like a huge scam!' - But that's okay.
4. Anyway, the ICC Profile, near as I can figure it -- makes sure when you save a file in the Photoshop program, it records the data for the monitor you were viewing it on, and other RAW type data -- to make a photo look the same on the Camera mini screen as on your desktop.
5. Or, say... a laptop! In the metadata for the photo Mrs. Tweeden kindly provided the media with (inadvertently, since it seems the press was given a version with all metadata stripped from it) -- the ICC profile also tells us what kind of color correction it's going to use.
6. I worked for a big box store, but I can't seem to identify the laptop here. Not sure how old it is - it looks like it has an expansion slot on the front for a removable drive of some kind? Or might be the 'air card' port?
7. Well the ICC profile describes the system that last touched the file as well - it's all gibberish until you see 'ASCP' and HP and think - hey, that's a model of Pavilion Laptop!

I think that's an Acer she's holding. Which means someone else 'modified' our file.

8. So we have proof the file was created by a Nikon D2H and modified on an HP Pavilion laptop in 2009 in Photoshop 7. I wish I had no scruples. I would call Adobe and ask if they could help me identify the owner of a computer through their serial number on their Adobe account.
9. Scratch that - ICC profile provided on meta page - seems to be reflecting my own laptop. Dang. So we don't know what kind of PC made the 'Last Modified' version of this photo.

Sorry folks - I'm not an expert or claimed to be one. :(

1. Folks - we need to have a brief chat about 'Photoshopped' versus 'Modified'.
I am contending that the photograph supplied by Mrs. Tweeden as evidence Senator Franken committed a crime was staged by all participants in the photo.
2. Nothing in the photo Mrs. Tweeden presents seems to be altered. Al Franken is 'honking her breasts' while she feigns or fakes sleeping. I'm saying they were posing for a joke picture that she is cynically presenting as evidence in a crime.
3. She presented this photo (inadvertently, I'm guessing) as evidence in her article - attaching this file to it to 'prove' her allegations of sexual molestation. She literally states that 'Al Franken Groped Me'.

All other versions of this photo have that metadata stripped.

Here's what we know/can prove without a doubt.
1. Mrs. Tweeden submitted this file to her station and had it inserted into her article accusing Mr. Franken.
2. Her allegation about the photo is that it was taken without her knowledge on Christmas Eve 2006 during a 36 hour flight home at the end of the tour.
3. The photo has metadata stating it was a .jpg created with a Nikon D2H camera (the kind used by Combat Camera, USO photogs). The jpg was created on 12/21/06 at 17:19 PM (Assuming PST).

EXIF data - the stuff cameras stamp on the digital versions of files? It protects, among other things the copyright of the photographer by LITERALLY stamping the date on when the snap was taken.

It ALSO records the last time a photo was modified.
2. There's lots of stuff in EXIF.
Date. Time (to the second!) Down to the focal length and shutter speed.
Pro photographers also put their Copyright Information in the EXIF as well. What good's a date without a person to attach that date to, after all?
3. Your accuser used the actual photo in her article.
She alleges: "The tour wrapped and on Christmas Eve we began the 36-hour trip home to L.A."

There are many fake news, unconfirmed reports, fabricated photos and photos taken for propaganda use.
For example @bbcpersian journalist @BahmanKalbasi claims a group has taken responsibility when it is not true.1/8

It's back-to-school time so I want to share a little of my experience with being a Black admin in a school with 48% white students. This is specifically for parents of Black children so you know what happens in schools & are able to disrupt this issue with "discipline". #thread
I walked into a team teacher meeting (they're all white) who was to be doing curriculum planning. Instead, they switched it up and decided to call kids out of class to talk to them about their "behavior". I'll keep putting that in quotes since it was a nefarious act.
The Ts are on one side of the table and a Black student, we'll call him X, was on the other. He was slumped over, picking at his fingers. Walking in and seeing this I asked, "What's this?" They told me they were trying to talk to him about what he does in class. It smelled fishy.
