The US has given $34 billion in direct aid and military reimbursements to Pakistan since 2002. That is not putting America first.
In July 2012 I introduced an amendment to limit foreign assistance to Pakistan unless Pakistan released Dr. Shakil Afridi from prison.
In September of 2012 I introduced amendments to strip foreign aid from Pakistan, Egypt and Libya to do the right thing for taxpayers and veterans.
In March of 2016 I forced a vote on the sale of eight F-16s to Pakistan, worth $700 million. The vote tally, 71-24, in support of selling Pakistan F-16s.
