BREAKING: It appears when Trump used a recent NYT story to attack the FBI, he likely had already been briefed on it by his CIA Director and told it (the NYT story) was false. Which means Trump knowingly spread a story about the CIA he knew was false. Media should cover that now.
2/ This is *very* serious. If Trump is knowingly telling lies about the CIA to vindicate himself in the Mueller probe, he's actively working against U.S. national security due to being under criminal investigation. This is the harm that Trump said Clinton would bring if elected.
3/ Whether the story is true or not is at this point almost beside the point. While I argued that issue with the author of the NYT piece directly (see below in this feed), more important now is Trump apparently didn't think it was true when he exploited it for political purposes.

5/ Just want to underscore how fine Trump is with the nation discussing Rob Porter. Trump was personally accused of sexual assault over a dozen times and it didn't affect his life at all—he's not worried about the Porter issue. What he doesn't want discussed is Russian sanctions.
