”Recruiting Black Americans as assets.” This is like another country using COINTELPRO tactics to manipulate, divide and influence us. But this time on Facebook. 
More than a quarter of a million Black people following a Russian instagram account pretending to be a Black activist. We had better wake up. Andwe had better demand attention to this specific issue at upcoming House oversight hearings in the New Year.
Has Senator Sanders been asked to address this directly? I hope that he will recognize that his candidacy was the focus of the operation’s effort to manipulate Black voters. I hope that he is committed to aggressively investigating Russia’s action & social media platforms.
And finally, of course, this. The fact leadership of social media platforms evaded fully disclosing to Congress the extent to which Black voters were specifically targeted and that the plan was to discourage voting. This was a voter suppression scheme.
