Trump doesn't want a wall. He didn't want the birth certificate. He didn't really want her emails.

If he had either, he would find the next wedge to create the chaos he needs to maintain power and scrape the bottom of the garbage barrel for supporters.

You don't build your reality show audience by offering them the conclusion to a crisis. You invent one.

As he did with the lowest era of border crossings in decades and historically low crime. And you extend it for as long as possible to create your own audience.

Then, like any effective show, you bury your conclusion 10 minutes before the ending, so you have time to introduce the next conflict.

And that allows you to extend ad placements and subscriptions for as long as possible, right?

Except, in his case he's extending it for his family to have as much time to infiltrate every public institution, break it, and sell each piece to its highest bidder. And right now that's Wall Street. It's Saudi Royals. And it's Moscow.

Reality shows target our vulnerabilities. Our insecurities about what others really think and say about us. Our curiosity of how others struggle and succeed. But our biggest vulnerabilities are our attacks on Black and brown Americans. On Women. On Trans people. On the poor.

Over years for clients, I've spent maybe $2M on online ads for clients.

Every Moscow/NRA/Trump funded online ad actually used Facebook (and other) targeting to pin point every social weakness we have and foster chaos.

That won't end with Trump's ouster. But this long overdue chance we have at Democracy in this country will end without it.
