The state of UK politics - the Government would rather threaten Parliament rather than work with MPs. All part of the continuing maladministration of saying this deal is the best and only option and alternatives cannot be tolerated
This is not what should happen in a stable democracy. Other countries have harboured worries for a while but concern is now growing. They see how a referendum and stubborn PM can destabilise the entire political system.
Alternate view below but I think MPs have to hold their nerve and wait for Monday to see what indicative votes 2 could bring. Because as many have said, a blind Brexit to be followed by new leadership is scarcely a recipe for stability.
Meanwhile the latest @pmdfoster thread contains the modicum of good news that a long extension should be possible. But we're at the mercy of the EU...
