HT to @oldmanluvsmineo Seems a former Congressman was the proud owner of a bank in Russia during his time in office! It has been closed for failing to comply with Russian money laundering rules (which I imagine aren't too strenuous!) #ButNothingsHappening

Seems he went into a partnership with a former KGB agent in 2003 to buy the bank!
However his dirty ties to Russia & fraudulent loans was known more than a decade ago & led to his defeat. Wonder if the Swamp prevented prosecution?

Apparently former Congressman Taylor had investments in a lot business & banks. Wonder if Bank of Ivanovo & Summit Bank are the only 2 implicated in funny money? This list is from 2006 when he was still in Congress. opensecrets.org/personal-finan…
At that time his Russian bank stake was only $3M but his Financial Guaranty Corporation was listed as worth $50 Million with his wife as the employee of the company & him as an unpaid Chairman of the Board!
