One thing to bear in mind as we watch the Barr obstruction unfold:

Mueller’s team informed Congressional Dems of what was going down.

When they questioned Barr on 4/10, they weren’t asking random questions.

Barr was given an opportunity to come clean or perjure himself.

People wondering where Mueller has been in all of this can take heart now.

Mueller didn’t subvert the legal process.

He gave Barr a chance to tumble the dominos leading to his own removal from the process.

Mueller does nothing by accident.

Barr gravely miscalculated.

Barr really has no choice but to double down, bail on his testimony tomorrow and try to fight the inevitable subpoena.

The calls for his removal and Trump’s impeachment will grow as he does.

Barr may well decide that he’s on the losing end of an every-man-for-himself moment.

As the fervor grows, in part due to Barr being outed, Trump will do what he always does: lash out at Barr in public and private.

That’s the moment narcissists lose enablers.

Barr is a true believer though. He’s unlikely to be smart and bail.

We’ll see though. He might.

Post-script: Mueller is so hardwired to push for transparency and justice, you can bet any amount of money on at least two things:

1) He will not allow the truth he documented to be buried

2) He will not let his 14 open matters be obstructed or killed

Don’t bet against him.
