Its all about the biggest known gas field in the world either called "South pars/north dome".
What is fascinating about this is that Qatar and Iran both have access to the field.
It's like sharing a drink with 2 straws, whoever can extract it first wins.
important to know
...is that gas is different than oil when it comes to transport.
Gas can't be loaded on tankers that simply, it needs to be converted fe to LNG (liquified natural gas).
The problem with LNG is that it's way more expensive, you need facilities to cool the gas&create LNG&you..
Need the proper facility's at ports to get it from the ship and so on.
So generally said :LNG is more expensive, and needs certain infrastructure.
The point is : other than oil, if not going into LNG then you need a pipeline from oil field-processing plant-consumer.
Ok
So it should be clear now that whoever builds a pipeline to a big market like Europe first, has basically won and can pump out way more.
So let's get into the map.
The map shows the two block's planned pipelines prior to Syria riots.
(A) -Qatar, SA, Jordan, Turkey
(B) -Iran, Iraq, Syria
Group B actually agreed on the pipeline and was ready to build, ofc group A didn't like that at all & they needed either Iraq or Syria.
The whistle-blower report states that US personnel were completely aware of the fact that they were training jihadists - but nobody seemed to care.
