1) Except studies show Boomers spread fake news on Facebook more than any other generation, "young" voter turnout has been consistent since the 60's, this generation brought you the Iraq War, the financial collapse, voted overwhelmingly for Trump, and ignored the climate crisis.
2) Boomers determined to be the most self-delusional, self-righteous generation all the way down to the buzzer, you gotta admire that sort of commitment.
3) Every now and then, at a lunch, I'll mention "Well, I've got one or two more shows in me" and people react in horror. But I'm 52. A show's got a five year run, there's at least two years of development now, and maybe 1 in ten projects in your life even get to pilot. Often none
4) The Boomers are the leading edge but in Western culture we've done this great thing of extending people's lives, and health during these later years, and reinforcing people's vitality and relevance ... so the idea that one could ever be irrelevant is viewed with rage and panic
5) A gerontocracy is never a good idea, and I don't think it's one just because I'm heading for that cohort. /xx
