Not striking is the right decision but the constant zig-zags speaks to what I wrote about earlier today: an incoherent foreign policy that sends mixed messages & increases the likelihood of war.
It would be good if the Democrats running for president eschewed the easy "Putin's puppet" rhetoric & talked about the dangers of incoherence as I outlined here; thenation.com/article/trump-…
It's really important at a time like this for the Democrats not to taunt Trump for being weak (although in truth he is very weak) but rather to educate the public on the dangers of a foreign policy that is fundamentally incoherent.
