2. Asked why it's so important for a #CitizenshipQuestion to be on the #2020Census, President Trump said: "I think it's very important to find out if somebody's a citizen as opposed to an illegal."
3. The #CitizenshipQuestion the Trump administration tried to get on the #2020Census DOES NOT ask about immigration status. Noncitizens living in the U.S. would not have to identify themselves as green card holders or unauthorized immigrants -- just "No, not a U.S. citizen"👇
4. Reminder: @uscensusbureau's researchers have said if you want to know how many US citizens are living in US, adding a #CitizenshipQuestion to #2020Census would produce data less accurate & more expensive than existing government records, which bureau has been compiling.
