-cap rents
-build a million homes.
-introduce full employment rights from day 1
-stop rollout of universal credit
-reintroduce collective bargaining where abolished

Alongside private schools, one of the most radical Labour platforms for years.

Here comes the star policy from McDonnell:

“I’ve always believed we should work to live. Not live to work. So I can tell you that the next Labour government will reduce the average working week to 32 hours. A shorter working week with no loss of pay.”

McDonnell confirms end of opt out from European Working Time Directive.

Now McDonnell pledges a new social care service, free at the point of use, funded by: “a fair taxation system where everybody pays their way.”

In other words, higher taxes for some. #lab19

McDonnell says that Scottish Labour Leader Richard Leonard will have billions more to spend on social care in Scotland when he comes to power in Holyrood after the 2021 elections.
