Despite the progress, there is a gap of 550,000 cases between notified & prevalent #TB cases. Among the notified cases, treatment was initiated for about 1.9 million cases (90%). #EndTB

As PM Modi is set to appear on @DiscoveryIN tonight to “create environmental awareness”, in May 2019 his govt exempted 13 railway projects from forest clearances, risking at least 5 national parks & sanctuaries. Follow this thread:
In May 2019, the environment ministry issued a circular to all state govts that the Forest Conservation Act, 1980, would not apply for doubling of track & gauge-conversion projects, if the land was owned by the Railways and was under non-forest use prior to 1980
This means railway line doubling & gauge conversion projects will not need fresh forest clearances, even though 4 of 13 projects thus exempted will fragment either a national park, a tiger reserve, a tiger corridor or a wildlife sanctuary across UP, MP & K’taka

This morning I received very stressful news from #Bomana prison and I can’t see why the media’s in Australia don’t talk about it. One of the strong man whom I know & worked with during my 6years on Manus helping the others with their medical treatment, contacting lawyers & etc.
It has been 31 days he has not eaten and his mental & physical health deteriorates, Am really scared this man will lose his life if they don’t provide him proper medical treatment in next few days. Since the #Govt forcibly put him and others 53 guys in #Bomana awe heard nothing.
They have had their phones confiscated, no visits from lawyers, #RedCross, #UNHCR advocates of friends. There is also a media blackout, medical & no contacts with their families since then. I have been contacted by one family yesterday in Irani & they’re asking about their #son.

4) A project page with links to examples of how people both in govt and outside are are using the datasets.

Second: The actual experts do not agree with you, and your fear-mongering is likely causing more harm than good.

What is the goal of your models? Interpretability is important, but not the only thing. Other measures exist, but understanding your model is important to prevent outcomes, override recommendations, and to connect models to other systems - or stacks of models & systems. #ODSCWest
Example: placing racks in the Santa Clara data centre. Considerations, restrictions on space, power, future use of space, etc. Also: People install racks. They need to be able to intervene based on info that the placement model doesn't have. #ODSCWest

🔹In January 2018 a Nasscom report documented creation of jobs in four core sectors: automotive, IT-BPM, retail & textiles.
🔹Between 2014 & 2017 a total of 1.4 crore new jobs created in these 4 sectors alone,with nearly 65 lakh new jobs in just the retail sector.
🔹KPMG: travel & tourism sector is growing at 16% pa and adding 30-40 lakh new jobs every year.
🔹Naukri Job Speak Index, which tracks overall job listing market, is registering 10-16% growth YOY every month validating strong job creation in the organised private sector.
🔹The public sector too has matched the private sector in job creation fuelled by the massive impetus to infrastructure creation.
🔹Between 2011-14, 12,005 km of roads constructed; in 2014-17, the number up by 50% to 18,702 km.
