We’ve been studying groups amplify tweets via coordinated retweeting and subsequent un-retweeting (tweetdecking/lobbing.) The activity we’ve been seeing has been in English, but today we ran across what looks like a Portuguese-language tweetdecking group.

cc: @ZellaQuixote
@ZellaQuixote This group consists of seven accounts retweeting the same tweets in tight synchronization and deleting shortly thereafter. It is also the first tweetdecking group we’ve seen that actually uses TweetDeck. (Most tweetdeckers no longer employ it as their software of choice.)
@ZellaQuixote Due to the fact that neither of us speaks Portuguese, we won’t be reaching any conclusions about the content this group is amplifying. The activity is undeniably coordinated, however, and also effective; many of the tweets boosted by the deck garnered thousands of likes and RTs.
