One reason why people voted Brexit is because of politicians failing to see past their Westminster games and look at how their actions were affecting real people.
If Labour & the Lib Dems don't work together to stop Johnson in #GeneralElection2019, they're just more of the same.
. @jeremycorbyn and @joswinson.

Everyone knows that if you each agrees to stand down in those constituencies where polling and the 2017 results suggest the other is more likely, Johnson doesn't stand a chance.
So if Johnson and Farage win, it's on your selfishness.

And Jeremy, "Party policy says We have to contest every seat" will not be a defence at all, if no-deal happens next year. You know this.

Why are the promises of the Leave campaign (eg keeping Single Market access) treated as irrelevant hopes, but the warnings of the Remain campaign (eg losing the Single Market access) are treated as promises?
And why are so few people pointing out that by doing so, you're implying that Remainers were right?

Some voters won't see a weak PM. They'll see one man lined up against parliament, judges & Remain. Downing St has certainly miscalculated but fast forward to an election & it's not hard to see how all of this is used to do the one thing Johnson needs for a majority: unite Leavers
It's the #Brexit equivalent of Braveheart's "unite the clans"
If Johnson unites Cons + Brexit Party while Remainers stay divided between Lab & resurgent Lib Dems, then it's not even close. Big majority. But of course in Braveheart one side ended up screwing the other so...
(And almost nobody in this scenario is Scottish).

1) I really think people need to take a deep breath and think about the reality of the optics on the Labour position - and why the LDs are for #RevokeA50

Labour's policy is logical, rational, fair...
...and will be shredded in 30 seconds on TV
2) it comes down to the single fatal flaw in the #PeoplesVote approach, what is the other option to Remain

If you are not in power you can, though it's not easy, argue it's Brexiter responsibility to pick the leave deal in a ref

"Give us your best shot"
3) but if you are in power, it's on *you* to define the alternative to Remain. And what is it? Your own version of a deal?

But then if you campaign for that deal, you are a Brexiter party, if you campaign against your own deal, you look ridiculous

And if you remain neutral?

Been holding off on posting this #Thread regarding the #LocalElection2019 going on in England and Northern Ireland, but the results are fascinating to me here in Scotland for sure. There is a clear #RemainBacklash going on and this is HUGE, shall go into more detail on why.
Clearly, the #LocalElections2019 is one of the biggest elections in history for the Lib Dems and the biggest night for the Green Party, there is been a massive shift towards these two parties over the usual Tories and Labour, but why is that? Clearly, #Brexit is a big part of why
How the Tories and Labour have handled #Brexit is nothing short of embarrassing, both these parties have refused to support a #PeoplesVote and give us a second say on leaving the EU. Yet Lib Dems and Green Party have been consistent since the get-go as remain parties.

Despite her #BREXIT deal being defeated by biggest margin a government has lost a vote ever maybot seeks concessions on backstop despite being told to bog off by the EU with no realistic hope of a different answer
Corbyn meanwhile refuses to talk #BREXIT without no deal being ruled out despite knowing she can't do this whilst maybot makes no concessions either.
