So, I set out to find contact info for Twitter to get in touch RE incidental censorship of political journos due to new company policy
Upon digging through the SEC I discovered theres a #TwitterPAC & I'm too busy to deal with it
The #TwitterPAC is interesting enough to share though, in case any American journos wish to inspect
A few highlights:
- Twitter uses Deutsche Bank
- They donated to Chuck Grassley
- They also donated to the Tea Party's Mike Lee
Today Dorsey stated
"We've made the decision to stop all political advertising on Twitter globally. We believe political message reach should be earned, not bought"
Yet this conflicts with a #TwitterPAC

It appears Twitter is trying to avoid the same legal backlash as Facebook, for accepting $$ to advertise for dubious accounts (such as the #FakeNews Buffalo Chronicle operative that interfered in #Elxn43)

Twitter may also be attempting to quell an uprising by social media staff who are opposed to election interference
Because at Facebook, several staff joined a protest against these very political abuses

In any event, the existence of a #TwitterPAC defies any public statements that it's distancing itself from political wrangling via social media
And censoring my investigation RE #ForeignInterference in #Elxn43 from being viewed on Twitter is curious at best
Here's the SEC database for #TwitterPAC
Upon clicking any line entries, make sure to check both the *itemized disbursements + receipts* links
Then click *all lines* for each filing to see the details

Here are some itemized disbursements made to Chuck Grassley & Mike Lee
I haven't had time to check all entries because I'm busy with Canadian issues, but I am concerned politics may relate to censorship

And here's some example of what Twitter executives pay to the #TwitterPAC, as a matter of biweekly political contributions deducted directly from their wages
This even includes Twitter's legal counsel

Postscript: In my next thread you'll see how this connects with issues of dubious interference in the Canadian #Elxn43 & Kinsella
Give me a few minutes to explain in a 2nd thread
You may wish to save before I'm censored again
