"the deep sense of insecurity" is not something to be dismissed but something to focus on as this has been amplified across many religious and social collectives within the UK. It's why a collective response, a manifesto for everyone is needed ->
As Martin Luther King said "the two pillars of democracy are workers' and civil rights" ... both of which in the US had common history in the abolition of slavery (i.e. the Knights of Labour gave rise to workers' rights movement) ...
... it is important not to dismiss others but to listen, to include, to engage and to recognise past failings. I'm really proud that Labour is doing this with the race and faith manifesto along with the progressive attitudes in the general manifesto. This is encouraging.
Muslim Council criticises Tories over Islamophobia and goes further to accuse the party of "denial, dismissal and deceit" on the issue - bbc.co.uk/news/election-… ... problem is not just this but the quiet reinstatements - ... needs open discussion ...
... the emancipation educational trust, the race equality unit within treasury, ending of charges for passports, review into underrepresentation of BAME teachers and the independent review into far-right extremism. This needs to extend into all aspects of public duty ...
... including a duty across all political parties. I'm very encouraged by this this move and the "unshakable commitment to challenge the inequalities and discrimination that has faced too many communities". It's what Corbyn has stood for, for so long.
Gosh, there are some strongly worded rebuttals in this article from numerous groups -> “Corbyn’s long record of campaigning against anti-semitism and of promoting Jewish communal interests is being airbrushed from history.” - Jewish Voice for Labour

One criticism I have is "Labour has promised to end arms sales to Israel and to recognise Palestine as a state".

I've no issue with recognising Palestine as a state but a blanket end arms to an ally? Israel is an ally of UK even if we disagree with its current Gov policies.
X : Do you agree with the MorningStar article?
Me : No. I find its tone dismissive of the statements by the @chiefrabbi - and failing to deal with the actual question of how "anxiety is understandable and justified".
@chiefrabbi I personally admire the @chiefrabbi for saying what he has said. I'm also delighted to see @JustinWelby lend his support. I'm also positive about Labour's Race and Faith manifesto and Corbyn's commitment to this ... these are not incompatible views because ...
... the onus is now and always on Labour to demonstrate that it is not institutionally racist. This is not about an individual but the entire apparatus. You cannot nor should you ever dismiss concerns of anxiety or safety. This is true for Labour and for society in general.
However, if people are going to talk about a moral compass and voting out of conscience then I would ask you to at least consider the impacts of austerity, on the loss of life caused and in this case to listen to the voice of one individual -
Good to see John McDonnell tackle the issue of anti-semitism, the tightening of the disciplinary procedures since the Chakrabarti inquiry, the education needs, the apology for early handling - bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-pol… ... along with the manifesto this is positive.
I'll note that Boris has been playing the "strongman" card with "one bounce and you're out".

I do hope that means an end to the quietly reinstated - theguardian.com/politics/2019/… and that any inquiry will not shy away from issues of institutionalised behaviour.
However, given the statement that allegations of secret meetings to put the NHS under review in a U.S. trade deal were an “absolute invention” ... followed by the publication of 451 pages of documents which says otherwise, I am having difficulty trusting anything Boris says ...
... a "willingness to tell whoppers" as @DominicGrieve1 said -

This apparent willingness to use outrage, the questionable integrity, the visible signs of misleading (oh, better factcheckUK that) ... this is not healthy.
There are so many claims being made, often used to hide other causes e.g. blaming immigrants for the state of the NHS or benefits or whatever - - when immigration is a net benefit to society and the problems are solely caused by a dogma of austerity
