Here are the latest numbers. These are log charts, if they are upward sloping, it means exponential growth.

South Korea and Japan have a real problem. Are they about to "re-run" what China is going through?

China had similar levels and growth in late Jan. Jan 23, Hubei had 500 cases, they imposed a quarantine. On Jan 25, travel bans started.

Tomorrow is one month since the quarantine and they have over 76,000 cases, a 152x increase.

The quarantine was too late at 500.

And regarding the 76,000 cases ...

This guy sits on the Senate Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committee.

I assume he is not pulling these numbers out of his backside, but has been given reason to say this.

Total China is now at 77k.

Growth rate has flattened out. If it did not after 40 days of exponential growth, everyone on the planet will be infected 3 or 4 times.

I think the shape is right, no confidence on the level. 2x higher (160k)? 10x higher (800k)? Higher?

The RoW w/Cruise Ship (blue), is approaching 2k. Without is bending higher (faster exponential growth) and near 1.3k.

Look at where these numbers were 10 to 20 days ago (how many doubles?) and wonder many more doubles are still to come in the next 20 days?

South Korea has been doubling daily. Now over 600.

See the table, it says they have tested over 17k and are testing over 8k now.

If just 5% of those 8k tests come back positive in the next day or two, that pushes this number over 1,000 Monday or Tuesday.

Second day in a row South Korea cases doubled.

See the table, they are currently test another 5,481 so the "daily doubles" might not be over.

Late Jan China had nearly the same number of cases & double rate.

As shown, the Chinese imposed quarantines and travel bans at that point. Today they have 75,000 cases, or 100x more.

In other words, the quarantine and travel ban came too late.

Too late for South Korea?

Japan bumbled the cruise ship and let the virus leak into the country. It may cost them the Olympics (and Abe his job). It was doubling every 6 days. Now its every 5 days.

#China's Xi will meet with Kim Jong Un in #NorthKorea this Thursday & Friday (June 20 to 21).

South Korea stated that it'll involve denuclearization talks.

Of course this'll be right before the G20, where Trump might meet with Xi.
So, will China tell North Korea to completely denuclearize in exchange for removal of US tariffs?

Or will we soon see more long range missiles shooting out of North Korea?
Also don't forget that Xi just had meetings with Russia's Putin as well:
