A message to the people who turn to this account for health care politics, which includes sharp & well-earned criticism of Trump & his policies.

In the face of Coronavirus, I am turning my attention to where I think it is most needed— to help us all defeat this together.1/

The White House, HHS, state governors of either party, members of Congress know how to reach me & can’t be afraid to keep doing it. We’re on the same side here.

I’m told the virus spreads from Trump supporter to Biden supporter to Bernie supporter and back. 2/

There are too many problems— and indeed solutions— to fight each other. More masks, ventilators, tests getting people, more ICUs, anxiety we all feel.

Everybody: DoD, VA, FEMA, National Guard, Army Corps of Engineers, elected lawmakers & critics need to pull together. 3/

People need to know that messages to #StayHome or if you prefer #StayTheFHome is not a political message. It will save many lives. It’s not possible for everyone but the message below is the collected wisdom of the smartest people I know.5/

There are limitations. When he lies, I plan to get real facts out that I can. He continues to brag too much and what he’s saying is still way too rosy. I wish almost anyone else were President. But that’s not the story.

So I will be a critic but only to make things better.5/

If he does what I think is the wrong thing, I will still be all over him. You may disagree with this and that’s fine.

Life as usual and politics will begin again & I will be back in the arena. There will be plenty to run on in November but I hope to do it post-virus./6

We are behind. Most of us know why. But no one invented this & no one has had to addressed this before.

We will get through this. We must minimize the problems in the meantime. /end
