In between it would have been transmitted human-to-human, incubated, indicated as symptoms, gotten really bad & then be tested for & identified using sophisticated diagnostic techniques, as it was a “novel” (new, not seen before) virus.

I’m talking laboratory DNA/RNA workups, taking days, not hours. Remember, there was no test for this because it was new, so this would have had to be “discovered” by research scientist-types to even begin developing a testing protocol.

All of the “hot spots” in the US have absolutely been tracked back to Patient ZERO (for that hot spot) coming from one of Wuhan, Europe, or Iran.

... I suggested she might want to think about going to the doctor for a chest X-ray. I thought she might have pneumonia. It lasted at least 2-weeks and while she wasn’t charting her temperature I can tell you she did have a fever during this time.

The mother of one of our employees had the same symptoms around the same time.

I do not know for sure but doubt the tests can identify those who have already recovered prior to being tested. I believe that would be a new test that would need to be developed.
