1/ Covid (@UCSF) Chronicles, Day 12

No change in status @ucsfhospitals. Covid+ pts still 13 (last 4d: 11->14->13->13). 9 in ICU (up from 7 yest). Our command center briefings now less “news-y”–seems like we’re uber-prepped for a surge that may not be coming, which'll be great

2/ Overall SF cases: still mild growth (131>152>178>223>279>308>340 last 7d). In SF, everyone is struggling with “the curve is flat” vs “calm before storm” narratives. But even pessimists are tilting toward former. We have to avoid letting up, though. Could easily flip other way

3/ While SF OK, nightmarish reports from NY. Below from old pal, formerly @ucsf, now at major NY teaching hospital.
